Hi everyone!

I'm trying to investigate how I need to proceed with placing ads in the apps that I'm building using the Adobe AIR platform.  I've read a few blogs about this (most relevant: http://alainthibodeau.com/blog/?p=147)  Now I have several problems / confusions though:

I understand the "app side" of the process, but I've almost finished the app I'm currently working on and I'm trying to go back and place ads in the app views.

If I select the app type as Android I can bypass the app's url requirement since it's not released yet and then they give me a Java file to use with some other files.  So that won't work.  The tutorial says to use "Smartphone Web" as the app type, but it requires a url.  There is no website url, so I can't do that either.

There I also read that they're migrating some/all of that feature to AdSense (http://jmsliu.com/521/make-an-admob-to-google-adsense-transition.html), but nothing really informative.
In the AdSense forums FAQ, there's no real mention of apps because it's all about website related ads.

I'm trying to figure out when & how to proceed.  If anybody can clue me in, I'd be very thanful.

Todd
PS. I'm going to paraphrase this post in the AdSense forums

Hi Chaos,

If you choose "app type as Android" for your admob, you need to use Admob Android SDK which is Java code, cannot called by Flex. The only way you can show the ad in the Flex application is loading a html page.
And the html page will show the ads as "Smartphone Web".

But since google make admob to google adsense transition, the smartphone web admob will not work. And you need to get an adsense account, and put ad javascript code in your html page.
