Previosly my app was displaying ads for about 10 months.  We made no changes, but we never had an app-ads.txt file in our root directory because the company hosting our webiste would not allow us to put it there.

Then our ads stopped showing because of it in early september.

I found out it was because of the app-ads.txt was missing and we were not verified as the owner.   So, I put app-ads.txt in a new location that I can control and I updated iOS and Android.

Android had no problems and started displaying ads again.

But, iOS is still not working because the Admob web crawler is not going to the right address.  I changed our "Marketing URL" in iOS to where we have the app-ads.txt file, but Admob is not looking there.  It continues to look at the old "Marketing URL" location.

How can I get Admob to start looking at the new Marketing URL.  IT has been a long time, more than 10 days now.

Hi Darren,

With regard to your concern, you need to make sure that your app/s are crawlable by AdMob in order to properly setup your app-ads.txt. You may want to check this HC article guide. For further assistance, we would recommend raising this to our Product Support Team instead.

Hi Darren, I know its been 2 years, but do you still remember how long it took the admob on your end to detect your new developer url? Its been 8 days on my end and still not able to detect my new url because i am putting the app-ads.txt thingy on the url so admob will verify it.

And another question, you said because of the app-ads.txt issue, the ads in your app is not showing. Did the ads on your app showing normally again after it has detected your new developer url that has app-ads.txt?

Thanks!

Hi,

Upon reviewing your AdMob account with the provided information, I found the below issues which must be fixed.

It was discovered that your app status is in "Requires review" state. This indicates that your app has not yet been subject to the review process. To have it reviewed, it is necessary to establish a link between your app and the supported app store. You can link a supported store to your app within the All Apps or App settings pages and subsequently submit it for review. For more information, you can visit  Requires review

The app-ads.txt file has not been configured yet. Although the app-ads.txt file is not absolutely necessary for ads to be displayed, it's still recommended to Set up an app-ads.txt file for your app. You need to make sure that your apps are crawlable by AdMob in order to properly set up your app-ads.txt. Kindly refer to crawled. It may take a few days for app-ads.txt changes to be reflected in AdMob. If your site doesn't make many ad requests it may take up to a month.

I presumed that you have adhered to the AdMob Policies and restrictions and Implementation Guidelines to avoid any issues.

I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

After switching the status to 'Ready' and my app still not showing ads, I see a Match Rate of 0%. In particular, my test device with IDFA added still shows ads

Hi,

I have executed our Google Sample Project and am able to load the Ads successfully. Could you confirm whether the mentioned issue is reproducible in our Google Sample Project as well? If yes, kindly share the sample project privately so we can review it and try to replicate the problem. After doing so, we will be better equipped to offer a solution. Please note that the SDK just requests an ad to the ad-server (AdMob, Ad Manager, AdX or through a Third-party ad network) and does not have any control over the match rate/fill rate/show rate.

If the file(s) you are looking to share are less than 25mb, you can attach them to this case on your next reply. If you are having trouble attaching your file to this case or if your file(s) are larger than 25mb, kindly provide requested information to us via reply to author option or using the following steps:

1. Navigate to

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfkAiXMeYP-fw1W3Z-tT9uwmATEKO5X6S-th0gR2ezdKaaqfg/viewform?usp=pp_url&entry.400550049=Mobile+Ads+SDK&entry.460850823=5004Q00002PITsaQAH&entry.80707362=00081867

2. Fill out all fields and attach your file(s).

3. Please reply on this thread when you have uploaded your file(s). Please do not share this link.

I tried the code example Project Swift->admob->BannerExample
And when I tried changing the GADApplicationIdentifier to my ID, it got an error
Failed to read publisher's account configuration; no form(s) configured for the input app ID. Verify that you have configured one or more forms for this application and try again. Received app ID: `ca-app-pub-7676104977059420~2122786134`.
And currently I am using google_mobile_ads plugin for Flutter project.

I sent you a project example I forked from my project and it worked in testmode but not outside the AppStore.

Hi,

We couldn't find any sample project, kindly re-share it which replicates the issue so we could have full visibility of your implementation.

If the file(s) you are looking to share are less than 25mb in total you can attach them to this case on your next reply. If you are having trouble attaching your file to this case or if your file(s) are larger than 25mb, you can share your files with me by performing the following steps:

2. Fill out all fields, and attach your file(s).

3. Please reply back on this thread when you have uploaded your file(s). Please do not share this link.
