Hi - I seem to have the same problem a number of other people have had around not being able to get any house ad campaigns to run.
Have tried something the things suggested in this forum - deleting old campaigns in legacy admob, deleting campaigns in Adwords (not sure if I need to disable this account somehow?), setting up campaign with impression goal rather than ecpm, adding billing information all to no avail.
Target app is using SDk 6.4.1. If anyone is able to help (hi Eric :) ) that would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

Lets try to limit down the scope of the issue. Which ad unit are you trying to get working (let's start with 1). I see a lot of different efforts going on, but most have either no ads in the campaign, the campaign isn't allocated to any ad units, or the house ad line item in the mediation eCPM settings isn't enabled.

Thanks,
Eric

How about a 3rd option, you appear to need valid billing information before a House Ad will work.

Hi

Thanks for replies, I now have managed to get house ads successfully running. I deleted all campaigns and created a simple impression goal campaign against single ad unit.

I *think* the step actually "fixed" it was populating billing details and ensuring i had a card set as primary funding source. Although as you rightly point out my approach to fixing was less than scientific!

Thank again.

Dear Eric,

Could you please also help me with my house ads not showing problem?

1) i have signed up with the new admob (so not transferred from the legacy admob)
2) house ads worked for me for 2 days, then it stopped working no matter what i do.
3) i have 2 house ads campaigns, both are set to impression goal. both are enabled and target all countries/all device/all everything.
4) i have my credit card set up in billing
5) all of my ads link to websites. all interstitial image ads show auto-approved. and the banner text ads show eligible.
6) in mediation report, there's no request to house ads it seems.

thank you so much for any idea of what i can try to make house ads work.

HI Jennie,

Can you try bumping up your impression goal count, or as a test make it always serve as one of your line items? I see you have a 1,000 impression goal over ~4-6 month period. Perhaps too many house ads got displayed in the first few days and now it's not showing because AdMob is trying to spread out those impressions evenly over the time period of the campaign.

Thanks,
Eric

Dear Eric,

Thanks so much for your quick response! I am referring to my app Geneva4Kids.  It has 2 ad unit : bottom and interstitial. all impression goal campaigns are set to 2,000,000 (over about 2 months).

could you please also kindly clarify what do you mean by "make it always serve as one of your line items?" you mean creating ecpm campaigns and set a high value?

Thank you very much.

Jennie

Hi Jennie,

Everything looks set up right in AdMob, and I tried your ad unit and confirmed nothing is showing up. AdMob house ad campaigns are actually AdWords campaigns created for you under the hood. Do you also have an AdWords account associated with that email address and is it in good standing?

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks Eric for looking into it!!  I don't have an adwords account associated with that email address (i set up this gmail recently specifically to create an admob account).

and just to make sure, i went to adwords.google.com and signed in with my email….to my horror, i saw the message "account suspended due to repeated violation of our policies")!!  what??!!  :-(

do I need to take it up with adwords directly on this then? thanks very much.

jennie

Hi Jennie,

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on with your account, as I'm not too familiar with AdWords. But I'm pretty certain it's related to your inability to get house ads. You could try filling out this form for support from the AdMob product team, or you could also try getting in touch with AdWords product support.

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks very much Eric! You really saved me from going crazy! thanks for helping me identifying the root issue of my house ads problem. I will contact Adwords directly. THANK YOU! Jennie
