App rejected

My ios app is using google admob.  I ame using [GADMobileAds.sharedInstance.requestConfiguration tagForChildDirectedTreatment:YES];

to be sure that the ads are sutable for kids.

Now my app is rejected:

"We noticed that your publicly documented practices and policies for third-party contextual advertising in your Kids Category app are insufficient.

Next Steps

To resolve this issue:
• Review guideline 1.3 of the App Store Review Guidelines
• Provide us with your publicly documented practices and policies for third-party contextual advertising in your Kids Category app, if you haven't done so already
• Be sure your documented advertising practices and policies include human review of ad creatives for age appropriatenes"

Can you tell me where i can find the requested documentation?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We would ask what exactly Apple is saying in rejecting the app? Where are you located in general, ie EU? Are you making sure that you are following Apple policy for kids apps with ads being served. We would need more contedxt to get a better idea of what could be the issue.

I am located in The Netherlands. I am not using mediation in Admob. The exact text of the rejection in the resolution center is:

In my App i am using "    [GADMobileAds.sharedInstance.requestConfiguration tagForChildDirectedTreatment:YES]; to be sure that everything is oke.

In UMPC i use "parameters.tagForUnderAgeOfConsent = true;" As far as i know this are the settings i should use to get the right ads suitable for kids.

Is Admob without mediation using the settings above considered to be "third-party contextual advertising"? If so, i have to send "publicly documented practices and policies for third-party contextual advertising", where Google/Admob tells how they deside if ads are suitable for kids including "include human review of ad creatives for age appropriatenes".

 Can you tell me where i can find this information so i can send it to apple?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for additional information. In looking over this when we see this, we generally suggest for the developer to try again. As we have seen that the reasons for rejection are usually due to the reviewer and not anything that the developer has done. We do not have anything that needs to be added beyond what you have mentioned.

I still have no solution, i had apple on the phone today.

I got the following response after the meeting:

"Hello Peter,

Thanks for your time on the phone today.

As we discussed, we noticed that your Kids Category app includes ads but the documentation provided does not demonstrate the advertiser's publicly available documented policies for Kids Category apps, nor does it confirm that the ads are human-reviewed to be appropriate for children.

To resolve this issue, please provide us with the publicly documented practices and policies for third-party contextual advertising in your Kids Category app. Be sure that the documented advertising practices and policies include human review of ad creatives for age appropriateness. Alternatively, you may revise your app to remove the third-party contextual advertising."

Does Admob has publicly available documented policies for Kids Category apps (including confirmation that ads are human-reviewed to be appropriate for children)?

Please, please, please help with this issue.

Apple accepted:

Concerning the Kids policy, in https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/9283445 is written that "all ad creatives to be rendered are reviewed and rated before being delivered to users" if a network is used that is part of 'Families Ads Program'. Admob is part of that program.

Shall I just send this message that you sent?

Can you confirm if you have already tried to send the previous publisher mentioned solution when submitting again your app in the app store? Can you confirm if your app is still rejected upon sending that message?
