Hi!

Recently I tried to cross promote my games made with Unity by using the in house ads. I have created a mediated house add campaign for my game that I want to cross promote, assigned it to an interstitial in one of my other games, added a couple of ads to the campaign, but when requesting the interstitial from game it displays ads for other apps, not for my cross promoted game.

I have already done this things after reading other threads about in house ads:
  • High eCPM for this campaign (500$)
  • Created a mediation group for this campaign, high priority, high eCPM(500$)
  • The cross promoted app is not installed on my phone
  • Billing details are setup in AdWords
  • Waited for at least 1 day :)
But it still doesn't work. Any suggestions for solving this problem?

Hi Florin,

Thank you for listing down the different actions you've done on your end.

For us to check on our end, could you provide to us the Ad Unit Id in question privately using the Reply privately to author option?

Hi Florin,

Thank you for providing the Ad Unit Id in question privately.

I tested your Ad Unit Id with our HelloWorld sample app and I was able to load and show an Interstitial App Install Ad that redirects to the "Cars Puzzle Game" which I assume is the house ad that you are referring to. You may watch this video recording of my testing for your reference.

That said, we can safely assume that the issue is specific to serving of your house ad rather than anything specific to the Mobile Ads SDK because you mentioned you are able to load other ads on your end. It's possible that on your end, the ads that are being pulled are from the AdMob Network instead of your house ad campaign.

For this, I suggest that you reach out to the Product Support Team for more insights.

Dear Ivan,

Thank you for confirming that it works. Can this happen because the app I tried to cross-promote was previously installed on my device (when testing it wasn't installed).

Perhaps Google needs some time to detect it was uninstalled?

Kind regards,
Florin

P.S. If I have multiple ads in one campaign, or multiple in house campaigns with same eCPM, will this ads and campaigns be selected randomly?

Hi Florin,

I'm glad to be of assistance. Could you confirm if you are able to load the house ad now on your end?

On the other hand, apologies if I linked the incorrect Product Support form previously. This is the correct form to reach out to the Product Support Team regarding your campaign related concerns.

Additionally, for your questions about cross-promotion and campaigns, it's best to refer to the following resources because these are the relevant channels for your concerns.

Hi Ivan!

Yes, the ads started to work, but after ~5 more hours after your confirmation that they work on your end.
