Hi
We have 3 apps out - 2 on Android and one on iOS. For the iOS app, we use AdMob mediation, and have AdMob and iAd delivering ads.
For the purpose of this question I will talk about our main app, which is on both platforms...
The Android version shows 55k requests per day, and gives us an RPM of $0.30 on average, totalling roughly $17 a day.
The iOS version shows 100k requests per day, and gives us an RPM of ... $0.01 on average, totalling roughly naff all a day. Even adding on the iAd revenue this app makes less than $5 a day.
How can this be? Why is our iOS app, which is exactly the same as the Android version but showing twice as many ads, making a 30th of the profit? I would understand if this was a temporary blip - this happens with ads - but it has been going on like this now for 6 months or so.
Can anyone provide any possible reason why this would be?
