Hi,

Sorry if it's not the right place to ask this question. Free free to redirect as appropriate.

I have hybrid mediation setup in Admob, where few networks are participating in bidding as well as waterfall.

For one specific network, I have more than 1 line items in waterfall. Those line items are for different eCPM floors set at network's end.

Recently I came across Bidding FAQ, where it says that:

If the network doesn’t place a bid in the bidding auction, it can still be called in the mediation waterfall. If the network places a bid and doesn’t win, it will not be called again in the mediation waterfall.

So if this network is placing the bid but not winning the auction, all the entries of that network in waterfall will not be called? Overview of bidding doesn't cover this scenario.

Thanks for reading,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

Yes, In AdMob's hybrid mediation setup if a network participates in bidding but doesn't win, subsequent entries of that network in the waterfall won't typically be called. This mechanism helps ensure that the highest-paying ads are prioritized for display, maximizing revenue potential. It's a strategy aimed at optimizing the ad serving process by efficiently utilizing both bidding and waterfall mechanisms.
