I noticed some adapters take time to make available an unity package of its provider's latest version. On the other hand, if you open the changelog specific to Android or iOS, there's an earlier version of that adapter available, its just not packed into an unity package.
For example, for Applovin (https://developers.google.com/admob/unity/mediation/applovin), adapter package version 7.4.1 is the latest, which supports applovin sdk 12.6.1.0. But if you open the changelog for ios (https://github.com/googleads/googleads-mobile-ios-mediation/blob/main/adapters/AppLovin/CHANGELOG.md) version 13.0.0.2 is already there.
Is it safe to use the package version 7.4.1 then manually edit the dependencies file to use applovin adapter version 13.0.0.2?

Hi, thanks for the clarification. Is it properly tested though? Is it still recommended to use the original version on the package if the motive to migrate to the newest version isn't that strong?
