ANR in Admob SDK

We are seeing an increase in the number of ANR's in our android app and our app ratings are going down.

Questions

1. Whats the reference to the US Social Security Number here?

2. The policy_ads_fdr_dynamite error is occurring often. Is there a fix for this?

Could you please provide the following (via reply privately to author option) for us to investigate this further?

• App ID
• Ad Unit ID
• Affected devices
• percentage occurrence of the crash
• a text copy - Full stack trace of the crash log

In addition, could you kindly confirm if you were able to reproduce the crash locally? If so, please provide us a sample project where the issue is reproducible. You may provide it using the steps below:

Before we share this to the rest of the team, can you confirm if you've try to Optimize initialization and ad loading? If not yet, I would recommend to try it as It mentioned that, starting from Google Mobile Ads (GMA) SDK version 21.0.0, you can enable optimized SDK initialization and ad loading to improve the overall responsiveness of ads and help prevent "Application Not Responding" (ANR) errors on your app. If upon using this still returns ANR, kindly let us know.

Nope, we are not using this setting. This is in beta, is it safe for us to use in production?

Hi Mohan,

I would recommend to try to use it as some of the ANR issues are fixed on Optimize initialization and ad loading in the (GMA) SDK version 21.0.0. If you still encounter any issues regarding ANR upon using this, kindly let us know. In addition to that, can you confirm if your concern is related to a thread with the subject "FW: AdMob ANR [6-5486000032160]"? If yes, kindly continue the conversation on that thread for better tracking.
