When requesting native ads and display ads at the same time, always get display ads.

We are requesting both native ads and display ads by implementing `validBannerSizesForAdLoader:`. It worked well before, the latest working version is 7.50 during test. But after updating to 7.51 or 7.52, I can only get display ads now. There's no change in code beside updating the SDK. And if I revert to 7.50, I can get both display ads and native ads randomly. I'm sure that ad unit and line items are correctly setup.

Is there any known issue that may affect this behavior?

Same issue here.

As soon as i'm removing "GADAdLoaderAdType.dfpBanner" from adTypes it's displaying native ads, but both ad types together = no ads.

I'm seeing this starting with SDK 7.51.0 (still not working with SDK 7.52.0).

PS : i digged with Charles proxy and the DFP request is just responding with no data at all

Hi Teejay,

Before digging deeper into the issue, do you know why the page about "combining native and banner ads" is down? https://developers.google.com/ad-manager/mobile-ads-sdk/ios/native-banner Are you deprecating support for requesting native and banner ads in one request?

Hi Allen,

Thank you for reporting this.

I also confirmed that the guide Combining native and banner ads for iOS wasn't accessible on my end as well. However, the said guide for Android is accessible.

With that said, could you please provide us the project (or at least a test project) where the issue is reproducible. Once provided, I could verify this on my end and raise it (including the reports thus far) to the rest of the team.

Hi,

I have the same issue using version 7.52.0 of the SDK. I also tested that with version 7.50.0 I can see native ads and banners at the same time.

Hi Kiko,

Thank you for reporting this.

Would it be possible for you to provide the following details (via Reply Privately to Author option)? This will be a big help for us to investigate the issue further.
  • A project (or at least a test project) where the issue is reproducible
  • Charles log (see instruction here) capturing the behavior

Hi everyone. No update on this issue?
I can't produce a test project with our company ad units, but that's something your team should be able to test quite easily?

Hello Mathieu,

I am checking this internally with the team for any known issues. We have not been able to reproduce the issue on our end. It would be really helpful if you could share any useful details requested in the previous responses by our colleague regarding this issue so that we can investigate further.
