There has been quite a surge in this Exception lately.

This exception is thrown when calling the Interstitial.load() method.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We would start by asking if you can share with us via the "Reply to author" button with a simple sample app. As well as include with it any steps that you see that replicate it. Also if you have any error codes, stack traces, or Charles logs that can add more context.

The issue is not locally reproducible.

Thank you for your response.

Can you confirm if you still encountered these error logs? If yes, can you provide us with the SDK version you're using on this? Also, have you tried to use the latest version of the SDK and still encounter the error?

I'm using the latest AdMob SDK 20.5.0,

the crashes happen on the latest version as well.
