Wrong ad sizes on Android

Hi, my Android app (developed in Android Studio with Java) shows banner ads and interstitial ads. Both ad types are displayed correctly on API level 32, 33 and 34 (Android 12.1, 13 and 14).

I did not test with API level 31. But on API levels 29 and 30 (Android 10 / 11), the ads are wrong scaled, so they do not fit on the display. See attached screenshots.

Is there anybody who can help?

Hi,

It's always recommended to keep the SDKs up to date. As of today the latest version is 23.2.0. Please refer to these Google Mobile SDK release notes and Deprecation and sunset documentation.

Feel free to contact us, if you face any difficulties with latest SDK.

I am using version 23.2.0, so this should be fine.

Can you tell me whether the following is the correct entry in build.gradle?

implementation 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:23.2.0'

Yes, the mentioned build.gradle is correct. We have ran our Goggle sample project with test IDs and able to load ad successfully for mentioned API levels. The mentioned issue mainly depends upon ad inventory and we do not have control on it. The next step for you would be to reach out to the Product Support Team for further assistance regarding the ad serving concern.
