I've tried using the test id instead but no matter what I always receive "<Google> Invalid Request. Cannot determine request type. Is your ad unit id correct?"

Please Help

Hi Jeff,

Which SDK (Android or iOS) are you on, and would you mind showing us the ad unit ID you are using?

Hi Jeff,

Thanks!

I tested your ad unit ID in our sample app and got a slightly different error message: 2016-05-25 17:06:57.739 APIDemo[14774:7567417] -[AdMobAdDelegateViewController adView:didFailToReceiveAdWithError:]: Request Error: No ad to show.

How long ago did you create this ad unit ID? It could well be because of a lack of inventory, so the server didn't return any ad.  I recommend trying to request at a later time to see if the issue persists.

Hi Jeff,

Both IDs should be serving ads by now.  I have just tested them out again, and both served ads without any problem.

Let us know if you see otherwise!

Hi,

I have to delete your post as it contains your Ad Unit Id in question which is considered as confidential information. Please avoid posting your Ad Unit Ids in the public forums.

That said, below is a copy of your post with the Ad Unit Id redacted.

I have exactly the same. Can someone help me please, my id: ca-app-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx

Hi,

I tested your Ad Unit Id on my end and I also kept on failing to load ads. However, upon checking, this is more of an Ad serving concern rather than anything specific to the Mobile Ads SDK. That said, please use this troubleshooter or raise this over to the Product Support Team for further assistance on this.

On the other hand, based on previous experiences by other publishers, in some scenarios, ads are not serving on their end because they haven't set up their payment information or PIN verification yet. Could you check these items on your end and see if they're applicable to you?
