From what I understand is that you want to have a button above the ad
( a button covering space on the ad view )
If this the case, then it is against the terms of AdMob Ads as
displaying a button or any other thing above the Ads is against the
policy.

DId I got you correctly?

Thanks

Hey

I dont think having a workaround is a good Idea. As the policy is
there, Its not beneficial to go against it. We need to agree with the
Usage as described in the policy.
I havent seen that button on Google AdMob Ads. Maybe it is from some
other Ad Network and that too not in AdMob Mediation.

Thanks

@Dan Dragut, chenyf

The button itself is not against the policy of use but can go against one of the terms which is encouraging accidental/fraudulent clicks.
I won't recommend it you. As a badly implemented button can cause the user to accidentally clicking the ads, which could get your account locked.

Use it at your own risk.

@chenyf

Technically there's nothing stopping you from wrapping the AdView together with button (or image button) in say a relative layout and have that inside your activity layout (using includes or simply pasted in). You can then code the button handler to find that wrapper layout and hide it, essentially hiding the button and the ad as well.

@kunal verma
Can you please post the excerpt from the AdMob terms that says that.
