Hi, I m developing my application. I had implemented admob ads successfully couple of month ago but due to some concerns, i couldn't able to work on my project. so last month restarted my development, and found that my test admob ads not showing on test device. I have checked my account and see that my application need review.
So is it because pending review not working ? or is it something else?
Error: "Error: No ad to show"

My application isn't live yet and do I need to upload it and review ?

thanks

Hi Irfan,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Can you confirm if the test ads that you're referring to that is not showing anymore is by using your actual ad unit id or our sample ad unit id? If you're using your actual/created ad unit id, and you've encounter "ad not showing" with the account status "Requires review", it means that your app hasn’t been reviewed yet. To have it reviewed, you must link your app to a supported app store. You can link a supported store to your app in the All Apps or App settings pages and submit for review. During the review, apps may experience limited ad serving. Reviews generally take a couple of days, but in some cases we may require more time to evaluate your app. You can check the status of your review and your app’s ad serving in your AdMob account. To know more about app readiness, you can check this article.

However, if you're using our sample ad unit id and encounter the no ads showing, kindly provide us the following details below privately. You can provide the following details via reply privately to author option or directly provide it to the link below.

  • Sample app project
  • App ID
  • Ad unit id
  • SDK version used

If the file(s) you are looking to share are less than 25mb in total you can attach them to this case on your next reply. If you are having trouble attaching your file to this case or if your file(s) are larger than 25mb, you can share your files with me by performing the following steps:

Got it. If I need to use actual credentials then I need to review my app by uploading it, even if you need credentials for testing purposes (may be you need to register your testing device as a test device).

but

if you need to test ads, then you can use AdMob test credentials which they provide on their website (IOS & android have separate info). these credentials don't need your app to be published.

I have executed the testing ads with AdMob test credentials.

thanks.

Hi Irfan,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, if you're planning to use your actual ad unit id, kindly enable your test device when testing your application to avoid invalid traffic. Then, if you're planning to release your app in the store, kindly make sure that your app was link in your AdMob account. You may also check this article to know more about the app readiness. As mentioned by my colleague, we suggest to use our test ad unit id when testing your application.
