Admob not serving advertisment in Test mode

Hello All,

I was working on integrating the admob with my Android application.

During development, we were running the system in test mode by using
adRequest.addTestDevice(AdRequest.TEST_EMULATOR);

This was working fine till yesterday however today, it stopped serving
ads in test mode. It's constantly giving the error

"Ad request successful, but no ad returned due to lack of ad
inventory."

Please note, I am getting this error only in test mode not in
production mode. I have confirmed the test mode by calling
adRequest.isTestDevice(this) .

If I remove test mode by commenting the addTestDevice call,
advertisements start working. Can someone please confirm if it is
working fine for test mode at their end today.

Hello Ravi,

There is indeed a issue with test ad serving, and we are working on getting it resolved as soon as possible.  This has no effect on ad serving in production.

Could you do us all a huge favor and announce such things so we don't
spend unnecessary cycles trying to work out why our apps aren't working?

Apologies for this issue, I understand how it may have caused some unnecessary headaches.  We do our best to make such announcements proactively if there is scheduled downtime.  In this instance, we weren't aware test ads weren't serving until we received a bug report.  Thanks for your patience as we work on resolving this issue.

Hey, are the test ad services still down? I'm still not getting ads when
I identify my device as a test device. If so, do you have an ETA when
they'll be back?

fine.

Hi Jim, it is not adviceable to run the development enviornment with
test = false.

if test = true does not work, post a query here in the groups, or wait
for a day or 2.

Yeah test:false will return true(real) ads , and not test ads and you cannot click them to check all the things, so i think,  JD is correct

Are you getting a specific error in the console in your ios app when you try to request test ads? 

I just tried requesting a test ad and it seemed to come back fine, so it might be a problem with your implementation. Is the testing property on your GADRequest object is set to YES?
