Recently were invited to implement the Native Advanced Ads on our iOS App. We implemented across 50% of the screens.

Everything working fine until... we enable Limit Ad Tracking under iOS > Advertising > Privacy. With this option enabled we can not get any ads to load.

We came across this as one of our testers was using a corporate iphone with this option enabled by default.

After 1 week of testing, zero ads continue to show. Other iOS apps that appear to be running Native Advanced Ads are displaying ads, so it seems to be related to our app.

Any feedback if this is a known and reported issue, or if maybe just implemenation issue. It works fine with the Limit Ad Tracking disabled.

Appreciate any feedback and advice.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. Could you please share your Ad Unit ID, along with the complete device logs when the LAT is enabled and disabled? Also, could you share the Charles Proxy logs? Please refer to this guide on how to set it up. These logs will help us investigate the actual Ad Request and its response. You can reply back via Reply privately to author option.

Hello Walt,

Thank you for taking time to share the details. Since this is a setting specific to Apple, we recommend that you load ads by turning off the Limit Ad Tracking to serve ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK will automatically pass the IDFA in the Ad Request. The SDK uses IDFA under the guidelines laid out in the iOS developer program license agreement. Turning on the the Limit Ad Tracking option from the device prevents the SDK from passing the IDFA information to track conversions. You may refer to this forum post for additional information.

I have shared these details with the team and they are looking into other options on how this can be handled when the LAT is enabled. Please keep an eye out on our blog for more updates.
