DFP Debug - Creative information is not available

Hello,

I am trying to implement the DFP Creative Debugging in our app mentioned here: https://developers.google.com/mobile-ads-sdk/docs/dfp/ios/debug. But I get following message when I send a request to debug an ad-slot. Can you please help me figure out what would cause this error? Thank you!

Hi Kedar,

Can you make sure to link your device to the creative properly?  If this does not help, then send us your Ad Unit ID and we will have a look as this might also be a creative issue.

Hi Deepika,

Thank you for looking into this. I haven't been able to link the device with DFP, as I get this message instead of the in-app debug menu. I have tried couple different Ad Unit Ids - /31179041/app_homepg_carousel_1_1 and /31179041/coupon_area, with and without the network-id prefix. I am using the "code function in iOS" to trigger the in-app debug menu.

Hi Kedar,

You need to select Creative Preview to be able to link your device to your DFP Account to debug the creative. Please follow the steps mentioned in this article - 
Select Creative Preview to link your device. A browser opens and automatically navigates you to a browser to log into DFP. After successfully logging in, name your device to register it with your DFP account, and click Verify.

Hi Kedar,

Are you even able to load your ad with your Ad Unit ID? Looks like you were not being served any ad, which would cause this issue. Try to first load the ad and then use the Debug Option from the SDK. If you are unable to load the ad itself, then it's likely an issue with your creative configuration and you would have to recheck your settings to make sure it is properly configured.

I was not able to load ads with your ad unit ID. Before investigating further can you please provide us the following information-

• Charles logs
• Device logs
• Details about the type of creative you are loading.

These would really help us to debug further.

Hi Deepika,

Apologies for late reply on this. I am able to get the Ad Preview working for some ads by ensuring I am on v7.13.1 of Google-Mobile-Ads-SDK. 

The preview works great for Banner Ad Sizes. But, I am not able to get the ad delivered for Custom Native Ad Sizes. /31179041/app_homepg_carousel_1_1 ad unit is configured to serve Custom Native Ads. How can I get these to work?

Hi Kedar,

I'm unable to load any Native Ad with your Ad Unit ID. Perhaps you need recheck your creative to make sure that it is being first served and then use the SDK's Debugging option(s) for further analysis. Can you confirm whether you are able to load any Native Advanced ads using your Ad Unit ID with our Sample apps?
