Unity Mediation Plug-In Brakes the game with infinite Resolving Android Dependencies

Hello,
I have quite a strange issue.
I have followed the official Google AdMob documentation to achieve mediation with Unity and everything has worked perfectly for four networks.  

When I reached the moment to add UnityAds to the mediation I reached a wall. My last step is to import the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation unity package and import it into my project. The package is acquired from here: 

The problem is that after I import this package, the Unity Editor opens two windows with the Headline: Resolving Android Dependencies, and they just stay there and never fill up. The editor is responsive, however, it never actually resolves the dependencies. After integrating four networks I am sure I did things right. 

I uploaded a screenshot with the culprits.

Hi Kris,

You are correct that you need to import the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage to your project as per this step. Also, it is expected to see the Resolving Android Dependencies dialog after importing the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage.

We tried importing the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage to our sample app and we also get the Resolving Android Dependencies dialog but it was completed successfully. I'm using Unity 2017.3.1f1. For testing purposes, could you download our sample app and import the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage then see if you encounter the same issue?

For us to check on our end, could you provide to us privately (using Reply privately to author option) your Unity project which doesn't contain the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage yet?

Hi Kris,

Thank you for providing to us a copy of your test project privately and for testing with our sample app.

I downloaded and tested your test project on my end (using Unity 2017.3.1f1 (64-bit) as well) and I was able to import the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage and complete the Android Dependency Resolver successfully.

Given that you were able to import the GoogleMobileAdsUnityAdsMediation.unitypackage in our sample app on your end and we were able to import the same unity package to your test project on our end, the issue seems to be nothing specific to the Google Mobile Ads Unity plugin nor the unitypackage. 

I suggest that you have this double checked by the experts over at the Unity developer forums and see if there are any similar scenarios as yours.
