Hello
I have a question about CMP.
I see a notification on the admob dashboard saying Beginning January 16, 2024, Google will require all publishers serving ads to EEA and UK users to use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP).
What will happen if I don't integrate this in my games?

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As per this article (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/13554020?hl=en&sjid=14715188072162491627-AP), it mentioned that "If a partner does not adopt a Google-certified CMP, only limited ads will be eligible to serve. Traffic from a Google-certified CMP will continue to be eligible for personalized ads, non-personalized ads (NPA), or limited ads." However, kindly note that Publishers and developers using Google AdSense, Ad Manager, or AdMob who serve ads to users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and/or the UK will be required to use a Google-certified CMP that integrates with the TCF when serving ads to users in the European Economic Area or the UK.

Thank you for your reply. But what happens to the other networks in the admob mediation, will they be serving limited ads as well?

Thank you

Hi Georges,

Yes, the same information applies to mediation.
