Hello, App store guideline says that "Kids apps must not include links out of the app, purchasing opportunities, or other distractions to kids unless reserved for a designated area behind a parental gate. Apps in the Kids Category should not include third-party analytics or third-party advertising. Third-party contextual advertising may also be permitted in limited cases provided that the services have publicly documented practices and policies for Kids Category apps that include human review of ad creatives for age appropriateness." According to this, we are not able to use admob, because on clicking on any banner or full ad, the guideline requires to first show parental gate and then redirect out of the app. I guess this is not yet provided by admob. Please advice.

Hi Bhaumik,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I'm afraid that the AdMob SDK does not, in fact, have any available implementations for parental gates as of yet. That said, the AdMob SDK has two functions that might help with your concerns: the first is child-directed ad targeting, used for COPPA compliance purposes. The second is the Consent SDK, used for bringing up a consent screen to your app's users. You may check out the above links for reference on these two topics.

The two links that you shared doesnt work for iOS. This is a bit disappointing. Appstore has too many developers specifically working only in KIDS category games. Is there any way I can pull request to admob to consider this and provide a solution for the same?

Hi Bhaumik,

Thank you for your interest in creating a pull request. I have created a feature request in order to accommodate this, and included your email in it as well in order for us to be able to contact you again for any possible discussion regarding this. In the meantime, you may follow our blog or release notes for any future updates on this.
