Announcements on Huawei AppGallery

Hi, the apps I have on the play store I have also published on Huawei AppGallery (which is not part of what I see of your additional supported stores)

The question is, do AdMob ads work the same? Is there anything additional I should do?

I have googled that it works for devices that have GMS installed. If that's correct, for others? If it wasn't installed, would the app crash? Or would it just not post ads? Would it generate invalid traffic?

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As per checking on our support article, as of the moment, AdMob supports the Amazon Appstore, OPPO App Market, Samsung Galaxy Store, VIVO App Store, and Xiaomi GetApps. For your question, as far a we know you don't have anything additional to do as long as you still compliant with the policies. With regards to crashes, post ads and invalid traffic, I can't further give context on this as the Huawei AppGallery is not yet AdMob supported.

I understand that you cannot provide information because it is a store that you do not support but my question was more general:

If I have the admob package in the app and the app is downloaded to an unsupported device or an unsupported store, does admob understand that it can't run and just doesn't show ads or fails and crashes everything?

I know that as unsupported you don't have specific tests, but on a general level you will definitely have some programming guidelines to cover this case.

ps. Of course I'm not just referring to huawei, but just in general

I work with Pamela and will assist you. Ad serving in unsupported stores is out of scope for us, we only support integrating the Mobile Ads SDK into apps. The AdMob Forum is where you may receive support for app stores.

With that being said, in apps listed in other Android stores only  from that forum it appears there's an answer to your question.
