Do Collapsible Banners need a dedicated Ad Unit ID?

Hi Admob,

While testing our iOS implementation of Collapsible Banners based on your docu at https://developers.google.com/admob/ios/banner/collapsible we didn't see the collapsible banner, only a standard banner.

Our development code for banners uses the `adUnitID` ca-app-pub-3940256099942544/2934735716 from https://developers.google.com/admob/ios/banner#always_test_with_test_ads

Only after changing this ID to "ca-app-pub-3940256099942544/8388050270" as found on Collapsible docu the app started to show Collapsible banners.

The big question for real-life banners for our app users:

Is a dedicated `adUnitID` required for them to show Collapsible banners in a non-testing environment, or is the default existing ID from the standard banner sufficient?

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK support team.

Dedicated `adUnitID` is not required for the Collapsible banners. When the SDK requests an ad from the server based on the availability you might receive the collapsible banner. There is no way to check whether the returned ad is a collapsible banner ad. This feature is scheduled for a later release.
