I got notice on the above violation today and it said ad serving has been disabled to my app.

Just wondering what is the best way to implement the  INTERSTITIAL ADS. Currently I has some admanager  class which show the interstitial ad in the main activity's "onStart" if any only if the last ads is shown over 180 secs ago to prevent multiple ads.. however I think this must not prevent ad show up in mid of user session if the ad request take too long.

I am wondering whether the blog post implementation is the preferred way to show an interstitial ad or there newer example the I can use since I notice that a red comment is added on top of that blog post:
"Update (March 24, 2015): Per recent policy updates, interstitial ads on app-load are not recommended. See the AdMob help center for the latest interstitial policy guidance."

The second question is since  I am using admob mediation to mediate 5 ad source, so I assume that even my admob ad serving is disabled, it wouldn't affect the mediation to my other ad source is that correct?

Thanks

Hi Thomas,

1) Indeed, showing interstitial ads on app load and/or app exit are now disallowed as per AdMob interstitial guidance policies.  The new change is to reduce accidental user clicks, since interstitial ads should be displayed only at logical breakpoints in your app (See here for the recommended approaches).  We recommended pre-loading the interstitial in the background before displaying it to make sure it is ready.

2) Technically AdMob cannot be disabled during mediation, because it is the default network to fall back on in case other mediation networks fail.  Please see more details on mediation here.
