Hi.

I currently have a cordova app for Android and iOS with the WebView API for Ads implemented on both platforms.

The ads are displayed correctly on both Android and iOS, but on iOS the clicks are not recorded (On Android it works perfectly), I can get 100,000 impressions but no clicks recorded (In total I only have 1 click registered)

I don't know if this is a problem with the AdMob SDK or AdSense Code or if it is due to my implementation, because the app uses a locally loaded WebView (cordova), I have to change the scheme and hostname of the WebView, on Android I can change both, but on iOS I can only change the hostname, the scheme cannot be changed to https:// and it remains by default to app:// (Or I can change it to anything other than a standard scheme), example of how it looks:

Android WebView URL: https://mydomain.com/example.html
iOS WebView URL: app://mydomain.com/example.html

Could this be the cause? Why are the ads shown then?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With regard to your concern, kindly note that we can only offer support for the following supported platform of Mobile Ads SDK (https://developers.google.com/admob). Since you've mentioned that the ads are showing correctly, then your implementation is correct. However, for your concern on the clicks that are not being recorded, what we can recommend is to check our documentation guide (https://developers.google.com/admob/ios/quick-start) for reference in your implementation since it was built using Cordova. You may also check our sample apps (https://github.com/googleads/googleads-mobile-ios-examples) for better visualization of implementation reference.

Thanks for the reply.

Since I am using the WebView API for Ads, the examples mentioned are not helpful to me, since the ads shown are from AdSense through the AdMob SDK, and in the examples there are only AdMob ads.

Is there any official support site/forum for WebView API for Ad? Since I'm showing AdSense ads using the WebView API for Ads included in the AdMob SDK, I'm not sure if the error is related to AdSense or AdMob.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

As mentioned previously, since you're using Cordova in your implementation with WebView API, we are unable to further check it in our end since it was not a supported platform of our SDK. What we can recommend is to make sure that you're following the documentation guide (https://developers.google.com/ad-manager/mobile-ads-sdk/ios/webview) for the integration of it. In addition to that, you may try to reach out to the Cordova support team if this is indeed an implementation concern, otherwise, you may try to reach out to the Google Ad Manager support team (https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/3059042) to assist you further.
