Ad inspector not activated

I registered my test device in AdMob UI to test the app using the Ad Inspector. However, when I try to launch the Ad Inspector using the API, I receive the following error message:

NSLocalizedDescription=Ad Inspector can only be launched if the device is in test mode. To enable test mode, use the following:
Objective-C
GADMobileAds.sharedInstance.requestConfiguration.testDeviceIdentifiers
Swift
GADMobileAds.sharedInstance().requestConfiguration.testDeviceIdentifiers

Even after registering the device as instructed in the error message, the issue persists.

Hello,

I would like to provide the requested information as follows:

I have sent a sample project with AdMob SDK implementation through the link you provided.
Steps to replicate: The issue occurs consistently upon launching the sample app.
SDK version used: 9.14.0
App ID: ca-app-pub-1816265844413353~3508629818
Device name and version affected: iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 16.5.1
Mediation network used: AdMob Network

These are the details I wanted to share for the investigation. I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you for providing the requested information.

Upon checking this, we did not encounter the issue you've reported. For clarification, are you using an emulated device or a physical device? Kindly try to update the SDK to a more recent version, version 10.7.0, to see if this fixes the issue.

Thank you for your response.

Upon further investigation, I have confirmed that the issue occurs only on physical devices. However, I would like to mention that when using the simulator, the application functions properly without any issues. Specifically, the issue has been observed on three devices, including iOS 16.5.1.

I have updated the SDK to the latest version, 10.7.0. However, the issue still persists and has not been resolved.

We will continue our efforts to resolve this problem, and I will provide you with an update as soon as there is any progress.

Thank you for your response.

Can you confirm if you've tried to add any ad format with ad request in your sample app and tried to run it with the ad inspector in the real device? Upon checking into your sample app, we've seen that it only has the showing of an ad inspector and no ad request was added on it. We have also tried our sample app (https://github.com/googleads/googleads-mobile-ios-examples), and added programmatically the ad inspector and the test device identifier, and we are able to load the ad inspector on it.

Even when adding the ad format and running the ad inspector on a real device, the ad inspector does not appear. Additionally, we are encountering the following error:

Also, as you pointed out, the sample app is a minimal project without the display of the ad inspector.

Furthermore, I have a question. There may be restrictions on ad display on our account, and I would like to know if that is related to the issue or if the account information could potentially have an impact.

Thank you for confirming. Upon checking your account, there appears to be a billing issue, specifically pending Pin and On hold due to no valid instruments. I would suggest checking this article (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/3198657?hl=en) that addressed the problems for PIN. For address verification address, you may check the following FAQ (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/2772302?hl=en&ref_topic=2772055#:~:text=Address%20verification%20FAQs) to know more about it. But this should not cause the issue you are experiencing regarding the ad inspector. We will to share this information to the wider team for further assistance. We will keep you posted for any updates.

I hope this message finds you well. I have a report to share, so I would like to inform you about it.

Firstly, I am delighted to inform you that the Ad Inspector interface is now displaying correctly, and the issue has been resolved. I apologize for any inconvenience caused and extend my heartfelt gratitude for your cooperation in reaching this resolution.

Regarding the previous month, due to not having engaged in the mentioned tasks, the precise reasons for the successful outcome remain unclear. However, during this past month, several internal tasks were undertaken. In particular, the registration process for the PIN was completed.

As a result, I am extremely pleased to share that this has opened up new possibilities for measuring and optimizing the effectiveness of our advertisements.

I deeply appreciate you taking the time from your busy schedules to read this message.
