Rewarded Ads no-fill on iOS Simulator with Test Ids

Hi there!

I help maintain the react-native bindings for the google mobile ads SDKs: https://github.com/invertase/react-native-google-mobile-ads

We've got rewarded ads loading successfully on android but on iOS we are having trouble testing rewarded ads on the iOS simulator.

We are using the correct Test Ids:


...and as mentioned it works, and all the other types work, on android, we just no-fill on ios simulator for rewarded ads.

Are there any conditions under which getting a no-fill on a test ad id is expected? Or is there some problem with the rewarded ad test id inventory on iOS? Or maybe just on iOS Simulators ?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I've checked our test ad unit for rewarded ads in our Sample App iOS, and I was able to get ads on it. It means that this has something to do in your implementation. Since your implementation is react native, I would suggest reaching out to their support team as we only support implementation for Android, iOS, Unity and Flutter.

Okay - ironically, I *am* react-native support for this ;-)


So what I understand (but you phrased quite kindly, thank you): it's working for us, you're doing something wrong in your integration


Knowing it's working for you, and thus pointing us pretty conclusively at our integration helps narrow our focus so we can fix it, and thus has a lot of value. We'll find it and fix it. Thanks!
