Hi Zolio, thanks for quick answer.

We at Tradera want to verify that our custom targeting is working properly.
This by verifying that our targeting values in response is same as in request.

So, now I am "provide copies of the logs to our engineers for analysis." as mentioned on
https://developers.google.com/ad-manager/mobile-ads-sdk/ios/network-tracing.

As of my understanding, you could decrypt the response and verify that our custom targeting is in the response.

See attached document for request and response.

Or if not, pls guide me in right direction.

BR Pål

Hi Pål,

We cannot decrypt your log. Is your device above iOS 10.3? If it is, you would have to use network proxy tool like https://www.charlesproxy.com/ to capture the response. With correct setup, you should be able to read the decrypted response on your own.

Thanks,
Jill

Ok, so I am now using network proxy in order to verify that my cust_params are being sent in the request and I want to verify that the response are build based on and include cust_params.

I can see the cust_params in my request, but not in the response.

Am I not expected to see cust_params in the response? ( If not, how else can I verify that the response are based on my cust_params? )

Best regard

Hi Pål Brevik,

Yes, it's expected that cust_params is only present in the request not in the response because the signal is needed for rendering. Unfortunately there's no way to verify from the client side.

Is there any response that you suspect not respecting the custom targeting you set?
