ANRs doubled after AdMob Integration

Hi, we recently released an update for our game with MAX mediation, we hadn't included AdMob integration initially and the ANR's were stable. We did another update a few days later only adding AdMob integration and the ANR's doubled:

I've spoken to the MAX team and they've stated there is nothing they can do as these are directly caused by Google. I've included stack traces from Google Mediation based ANR's that were only generated after the update.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that your app is facing issues with ANRs doubled after AdMob integration. Can you confirm whether the same ANR issue is occurring in the Google Sample application too?

For us to investigate your issue, kindly provide us with the below information for further investigation: 

  • app ID
  • ad unit ID
  • Sample app reproducing the issue

Thank you for reaching out to us.
 
Since you're encountering an ANR in your app, can you first confirm if you already checked this Optimize initialization and ad loading and still was able to encounter an ANR? The guide mentioned that you can enable optimized SDK initialization and ad loading to improve the overall responsiveness of ads and help prevent "Application Not Responding" (ANR) errors on your app.
