Do I have to disable my ad while debugging my app?

I know I can't click, but do I have do disable my ad and enable it again everytime I need to submit my app?

There is a way with the adview (at least on android) to set it on testing mode and to set a test device id. When you run the app you can see on the logs where it says something like use this id to set this device as a test device.
