Hi, I don't know if it's the best place to ask but I'll try anyway. I have never seriously dealt with mediation networks, especially for the use of multiple sdks and various settings, and now I notice that you also have partners who post ads without the need for sdk. Forgive the stupid question but I just ask. These networks that do not require sdk, are they less qualitative networks that do not allow the support of an SDK or are they simply qualified and qualitative networks that have adapted to your publishing methods? Are ad impressions and clicks recorded by you? This is because from what I have read, on the use of these advertising networks without sdk, I have only learned advantages (without sdk, faster in the setting on admob, only the ads are shown that in total among all the networks they offer more, etc ..) and, well usually when you think that something has only advantages you stumble into some trivial error. I would like to ask you what are the disadvantages of using of these networks, to better understand their use to make the best choice. One last thing, I thought I read that sometimes the mediation partners pay us directly from admob while others do it individually, you have a list that indicates which partners pay through you? I add that I made a commitment to read the support pages that you make available among documents, etc. and they have solved many doubts but I have not found an answer to these questions. Thanks for the support

Hi there,

I'm Teejay from Mobile Ads SDK Team. Let me do the best I can to answer your inquiries. Please see my responses below.
  • Hi, I don't know if it's the best place to ask but I'll try anyway. I have never seriously dealt with mediation networks, especially for the use of multiple sdks and various settings, and now I notice that you also have partners who post ads without the need for sdk. • The advantage of a SDK-less mediation (e.g MobFox network) is you can add new ad networks without having to integrate additional SDKs or adapters. Both SDK-less and mediations that requires an installation of adapters are the same with regard to support of the mobile ads SDK
  • Are ad impressions and clicks recorded by you?
    • Yes, the impressions and clicks automatically handled by the SDK. On the mediation side (E.g FAN), the mentioned metrics is being handled by adapters
  • This is because from what I have read, on the use of these advertising networks without sdk, I have only learned advantages (without sdk, faster in the setting on admob, only the ads are shown that in total among all the networks they offer more, etc ..) and, well usually when you think that something has only advantages you stumble into some trivial error. I would like to ask you what are the disadvantages of using of these networks, to better understand their use to make the best choice.
    • As mentioned above, the advantage of the SDK-less mediation is it will save your time on implementation and testing as this kind of mediation is configurable on server side
  • One last thing, I thought I read that sometimes the mediation partners pay us directly from admob while others do it individually, you have a list that indicates which partners pay through you? I add that I made a commitment to read the support pages that you make available among documents, etc. and they have solved many doubts but I have not found an answer to these questions.

Hi, thanks for the information, they solved many doubts.

Another thing I came across, when filling out a form of a mediation network (chocolateplatform, but maybe others ask for it too), asks me to enter the name of the company, but I don't have a company, I am a single developer.

I know I should ask them (what to put in that field), and I did it by sending them an email but they haven't answered me yet and maybe they won't. So I thought I'd try asking it here anyway, what should I put in that field? A name also invented symbol of the work I do? My name?

Thanks for the support

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I work with Teejay and will be assisting you on this. With regard to you question, I'm afraid I can't give you definite answer on that. It's better to wait for them to answer your question. You can also check this guide on how to integrate Chocolate platform.
