Open Bidding Issues

Hello Team,

We have connected 9 Networks as Open Bidding, we have contacted them and confirmed that we are Approved. But according to Open Bidding Report, Admob is not sending requests. 

Some bidders are also added as the Waterfall sources and we see requests there but not all of them respond with bid responses. 

Can I send you IDs to help us understand whether the issue is with SDK implementation or in UI.

With regard to your concern, we would recommend utilizing Mediation test suite (iOS or Android). This allows you to test whether you have correctly configured your app and ad units to be able to display ads from third-party networks through mediation.

Hi Teejay,

We didn't see any integration or configuration errors while using GoogleMobileAdsMediationTestSuite. We only see Ad Load fails.

And according to the bidding report there were no requests sent to any of 10 bidders.

Hi Julia,

Thank you for the video. I was able to see that as well as looking over the attached file. I would start by asking if you have checked out this link as it talks about the Bidding process. I also saw towards the bottom of this that there are some restrictions on the bidding, GDPR and CCPA, so unsure if those might affect you. We also see that you are using FAN as well as AdColony. In seeing these we are just wondering what your development environment is? Are you using Unity and if so what SDK version? Also I believe that this is still in Beta so we believe that there might be some restrictions due to that. If you would like, you can share with us via the "Reply to author" with a sample app that we can look into.

GoogleMobileAdsMediationTestSuite was successful, but the number of Open Bidding requests is 0.

Help me.

I think my thread is the same issue… When you integrate the Mediation Test Suite in your app, and open an ad unit, does the Ad Load fail when you click directly on Open Bidding network, but Ad Load succeeds when you click on same network in waterfall?

Presently, I have not seen clear instructions from the 'mobileadssdk' SDK team, on what the next step is, when the Open Bidding partner is configured properly, but partner won't load ad for Open Bidding, but same partner will load ad for waterfall, as shown in Test Suite.

AdColony library is set to 'test mode', when I click on it for waterfall, it shows their test ad. But it can't load on the OB screen.

SDK team can you clarify next step?

I hope you're doing well.

I just want to circle back on this. The team mentioned that you can use Ad Inspector for testing bidding. As for why things are working on bidding and not waterfall, they are different integrations. In some capacity, this may be working as expected, if AdColony decides not to bid on the bidding integration. For AdColony bidding specifically, we've noted from our own testing that if the request is a test request coming from AdMob, then on the AdColony side that zone also needs to be configured for test mode per this documentation. If the test status coming from the bidding request doesn't match the test setting on the AdColony UI for that zone, they don't bid.
