Hello AdMob Community,
We are the developers of the Mobile App. Over the
last two years, we’ve doubled our active user base with strong retention
and engagement metrics. Despite this growth, our AdMob revenue has
remained flat.
Here’s what we’ve observed:
- We
implemented all optimization suggestions provided in the AdMob
guidelines.
- Whenever
these optimizations improve performance, AdMob’s anomaly detection
seems to trigger, leading to drops in Match Rate & eCPM.
- We
have raised multiple support tickets, sharing data directly from our AdMob
dashboard that highlights this throttling pattern.
- Despite
clear evidence, the issue remains unresolved.
- It
appears that revenue is being range-bounded, with the algorithm
mirroring past performance even as user base doubled and ad requests
increased.
This raises two important concerns:
- For Mobile App: It restricts our ability to grow fairly despite scaling
responsibly.
- For
the broader developer community: It creates uncertainty and
discourages investment in building sustainable apps.
Our Request:
- Guidance
on how developers can avoid false positives with anomaly detection.
- Clarity
on whether AdMob revenue is range-bound by past performance
patterns.
- Escalation
or dedicated support channels for developers facing similar issues.
We value the AdMob platform and want to continue growing
within Google’s ecosystem, but fairness and transparency are critical.
Looking forward to hearing from other developers and the
AdMob team on how this can be addressed.
Thank you,
Team, Creative Thinkers
