UMP SDK US popup has a deceptive user interface on Android device

The US messaging popup has a deceptive interface on Android devices. I've provided two screen captures of the US popup (taken from a Samsung Galaxy S22 but also observed on other devices):

Image 1 - the initial pop up state that where it is not clear that that the user can scroll (no scroll bar or partially occluded text).

Image 2 - the pop up state after scrolling down and revealing the "Don't sell or share my data" option. 

Ideally both options should always be visible on all devices OR it should be clear that the user can scroll. Is this something your team can address?

I can check your concern You can use chrome desktop site or computer chrome 

​Open the application where this pop-up appears (likely Google Messages).

​Go to the Settings or Help & feedback section (this location can vary).

​Look for an option like "Send feedback" or "Help & feedback".

​Describe the issue clearly, mentioning that the "Don't sell or share my data" option is initially hidden/not visible on the "My data preferences" pop-up, and you have to scroll to see it, which is not clear to the user.

​You can also mention the device and Android version (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S22, Android 13/14).

I understand the issue you are reporting regarding the US Privacy message popup appearing unclear because the scrollable area is not immediately visible, and the “Don’t sell or share my data” option only appears after scrolling. Thank you for sharing the screenshots.

I checked this behavior using our sample project, and the scroll view with partially occluded text is displayed as expected, including the option revealed upon scrolling.

Can you please check if the issue still persists in our sample project? If it does, please share the details below.

To investigate further, please provide the following details:

• Affected device models (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S22, others)
• Android OS versions
• Mobile Ads SDK version
• Display settings that may impact UI (font size, display scaling, accessibility settings)
• Whether the issue occurs consistently or only in certain conditions

I tried the sample project and I was able to reproduce it in both portrait and landscape screen orientations. I have attached screenshots of the problem with various font sizes (sizes 1, 3 and 8) and screen orientations. I forced the app to landscape by using the screenOrientation tag in the AndroidManifest. Please note that my project is a game app that will only be available in landscape. 

Affected device models and OS versions:

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G), Android version 13

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE (SM-S731B), Android version 16

Mobile Ads SDK version:

I used the java/admob/BannerExample sample project which is dependent on 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:24.4.0' and 'com.google.android.ump:user-messaging-platform:3.2.0'.

Display settings that may impact UI:

I changed the font size and it did impact the appearance of the popup. The problem is noticeably worse went the font size is maxed out. 

Whether the issue occurs consistently or only in certain conditions:

The issue appears consistently. The popup actually appears slightly differently on my two test devices. It could be because the devices have different display resolutions or because they are running different OS. 

I suspect that are similar layout issues with the GDPR EU pop-up but I haven't tested that yet.

I have confirmed that the initial US Consent pop-up in our banner sample project does not clearly indicate that the content is scrollable.I will raise this issue with our wider team for further review and will update you as soon as I have any new information.Meanwhile, your patience is important.
