multiple calls to Google for one add request

We are using Google AdMod and we noticed that for one call similar to:

GADBannerView
- (void)loadRequest:(GADRequest *)request;


There are multiple requests to Google: http://pubads.g.doubleclick.net:80

Is that expected?

Hello,

In general there should only be one call. But if you're mediating, it's possible that a request is made to grab the mediation config, and another is made when it gets to the AdMob line item. You are using AdMob and not DFP, correct?
