Imagine an application with two pages. when you go from the first page to the second page, the ad on the main page is not disposed. so when you return to the main page, the ad is already loaded instead of being reloaded. is this a policy violation?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK support team.

The refresh rate determines how often a new ad impression is generated on a mobile app. You can choose not to refresh ads or to refresh every 30 to 120 seconds. We recommended that you have ads persist for 60 seconds or longer, depending on the functionality of your app. Our internal tests have shown that this ensures users have enough time to engage with ads, providing the best performance for both advertisers and publishers.

The default value is No refresh. If you select Refresh rate in seconds, Ad Manager will auto-populate a value of 60, which you can change to any value between 30 and 120 seconds.

You can set the refresh rate for ads in mobile apps by following the below steps

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Inventory > Ad units
  3. Click an ad unit's name to open its settings.
  4. Select Refresh rate (30-120 seconds) and change the value.
  5. Click Save.

Please reach out to us if you have any further queries related to the Mobile Ads SDK.

I just wondered if the ad placement in the example video was incorrect and violated the policy

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

No, the ad placement in the example video was correctly placed at the bottom and it didn’t violate the policy.

Last question: Rather than the placement, if you notice, when switching between pages, the ad on the first page remains fixed and does not refresh every time you switch, like the ad on the second page. Is this a policy violation?

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

The reason why the First Route stays open even if the page changes to Second Route.
Please find the response below :
  • When you come back from the Second Route,
    • your Second Route will be removed from the stack
  • when you again navigate to the Second Route the Activity will be recreated
    • initState method will be called
    • where your “_loadBannerAd()” will be called
    • which is why you are able to load Ad every time you go to Second Route.

Thank you for your response.

I know what you said. just wondering this when the first page goes to the background, it will naturally go to the background in the advertisement. so will the advertisement running in the background violate the policy?

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

No, in this case it does not violate the policy. Kindly refer to the AdMob policies and restrictions for better understanding.

If you have any more queries, please feel free to get back to us.

Thank you for answer.

So then the adverts in this video do not violate the policy. that is, the advert appears on the first home page, then when you switch to page 2, the advert on the home page stays in the background and the advert for page 2 appears.

I know I'm asking a lot, but I'm afraid that my google admob account will be closed. sorry to bother you.
