Single Adunit id with multiple ads

Is there any way to configure multiple different ads with single ad unit id in Android inside a recylerview?

Hi Prithu,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. You would need to create a new Ad Unit Id for each ad type that you would like to use in your app. You can also create multiple ad unit ids if you want to reload more ads than what we allow.  But if just looking to have different ad types? Then yes, you would need another ad unit Id for each one.

My challenge is to use one ad id . We have 1000 +products in the recylerview and after every 50 products different ad should be shown but adid should be one , is this possible?

Thanks a  lot for your reply. From the project you shared I can see ads after every 7 items but ads are same. I need every 7 items ad will be different it won't repeat.Every 7 items I am expecting a new Banner. Is it possible with single Adunit id?

Hi there,

Ad serving is out of scope for this forum, you can try the AdMob Forum or the Ad Manager forum. With that being said, you may want to look into sequential rotation in Ad Manager.

Also note that the test ad unit Id's will give the same ad but real Id's may act differently.

How long do newly made ad units take to show ?

Newly created ad units will take up to one hour after you create an app or ad unit. In some cases, it can take a few days for ads to appear in new apps or ad units. Because of this, you may not see live impressions immediately.

It's been a couple days and my ad unit won't show ads it just shows a black screen.

Hi Smooth,

Thank you for the response back. Yes, it should not take more than a few hours generally for a new Ad Unit Id to be created and ads being served to you. We would ask if the new Ad Unit Id is being used during testing or on a live app? If testing, do you have the device setup as a test device so as to receive live test ads? If the app is live and linked to you Admob account, and you have previously received test ads. Then we would suggest reaching out to our Product Support Team . As they are better able to handle ad serving issues.

I went to the Production team and found so support. Is it possible for someone to inspect my account and see why they aren't loading. My app is live on the App Store and it is connected to my account.

I know how frustrating it can be and as much as we would want to assists you on this. I'm afraid that this is already out of our expertise. We can only recommend you to recheck and ensure that the following conditions are fulfilled in order to maximize the chances of receiving ads from the AdMob SDK:

• Fully complete the setup of your AdMob account, particularly the billing and PIN verification sections.
• Link your app to your AdMob account; you may have to wait for a week or two after publishing an app in order to do this.
• Resolve any policy violations in your AdMob account.
