AdMob / DFP:

We are trying to implement AdMob in to our iOS/Android APP.

The reason for choosing AdMob is the dual compatibility for both mobile OS platforms and the possibility to integrate it with DFP.

Questions:

·        Why connect AdMob with DFP? When the app directly communicates with AdMob?
Our main platform is DFP. As said above we use AdMob to connect DFP (through AdMob) to iOS/Android.

Tds The ads we display are 3rd party. Not to promote our business. Is this possible in AdMob?

·        The app shows ads, but not the one we upload in AdMob for the running campaign. Is it possible give own ads prio and/or disable random ads?

Thank you,

Kind regards,

Lesley

Hello Lesley,

Thanks for your inquiry.

AdMob and DFP are two separate ad servers.  Google dynamically optimizes our ads platforms in order to provide the customer with the best performance experience.  You can choose to fetch ads from either AdMob and/or DFP, by simply instantiating the corresponding wrapper class in your code (AdView and PublisherAdView, respectively).

After you have created your AdMob account, you can apply category exclusion to filter types of ads served via your app.  This can be done via AdMob's web interface.  Please check out this article for more details.

For more information and general FAQ about AdMob, you may visit the AdMob Help Center.  The DFP Help Center also has additional topics related to DFP that you can check out.
