some issues I found

Hi, Andrew.

I tested Googi Calendar recently and I like the program, especially
the idea of having a small offline calendar application that looks
like Google Calendar and can be synchronized twoways with that.
However I ran into some problems that keep me from using Googi on a
daily basis.

The biggest problem was that all my appointments between April 1st and
October 1st were shifted by one hour. Fortunately this shifting took
place in Googi only; repeated synchronizing left the times in Google
Calendar unchanged. I think that it has something to do with daylight
saving time. (The timezone I am in is Europe/Paris.)

My second problem is that I am unable to edit repeating appointments
that already are in my calendar. I can create new repeating
appointments but I would like to have the option to change already
existing ones. This seems to possible with single events only.

During my tests I started and closed Googi several times. All of a
sudden the menu bar (File / Edit / Net / Tool) was gone. Closing and
restarting the application did not restore the menu bar. I had tot try
at least (I do not recolect exactly) 3 times more.

I noticed that there are 2 executables in the zip archive I
downloaded. One is Googi but what is the other one? Is it really
necessary to make Googi function correctly?

I hope will find the time to answer my questions. I will check for
updates of Googi anyway.

Hi, Arno:

About daylight saving time,i not do anything on this topic yet.
because there is no daylight saving time in my contry and i forget this.

Its should not hard for me about this issue.
I will check the rules of daylight saving time.
and add this feature to match the contries that using daylight saving time.

This job is big and no one pay me money for it.
I am not sure is it worth to work hard 3 works for it.


Seem most users dont need to edit repeating appointments very often.(at
least i am)

If you really need to edit sometime,you can still edit them by using Google
Calendar
and then sync back to Googi.

I had found this bug in v1.6 ,too.

It happen sometime strangly.
I will pay attention this bug.

but lucky, it seem happen about 20~30% chance,
and normally it will be ok if you restart application.
(note:
You can still sync data by pressing F5 , search data by pressing Ctrl+ F
,...,
even these menu not visible)

if what you are talking about is "HeartPad.exe",
its another application for diary.
It not necessary for googi ,but some user may like it.

Googi v1.8 is coming.

there are some wonderful new features and bugs fixed in it.

I will try add feature of daylight saving time in it.

This bug had just been fixed in Googi v1.9
