Job Title: Performance Tester

Location: Austin, TX (remote)
Duration: 6+ months

 

No CPT/ H1B/ GC EAD

MUST have - LoadRunner, Stress Testing, Performance Testing, Mobile Testing, Jira

Position requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong persuasion, facilitation and influencing skills;
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture;
• Independent self-starter capable of establishing priorities, managing time, meeting deadlines, and working well within a larger team;
• Self-driven.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in department- and company-level quality improvement initiatives;
• Applies and upholds software QA methodologies and standards;
• Training, mentoring and coaching junior Automation team analysts; offering guidance on best practices and department processes;
• Analyze application resource utilization and code execution metrics to drive optimization in application code level and/or application architecture.
• Develop test scripts and load projections needed to simulate virtual users;
• Create, design and execute load, stress testing;
• Evaluate Technical documents and identify performance test needs; types of tests, scripting scenarios, and volume projections as required;
• Experience with both mobile/embedded and web-based testing methodologies and tools; ∙ Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills;
• Experience with Jira tools and SCRUM methodologies; ∙ Minimum 5 years of performance/load test experience;
• Experience with Java, .net, Perl, Python, Ruby;
• Experience with C#, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS and languages for client-side performance testing, SQL and database query tools for any DB optimization techniques;
• Experience with tools such as LoadRunner, Apache JMeter;
• Experience with AppDynamics and Splunk;
• Understanding of AWS/Azure, Web / Cloud level testing experience;
• Experience on the developer tools on browsers like YSlow, Webpagetest, Pagespeed for client-side performance testing.
