Just wondering if anyone likes the Warriors series by Erin Hunter?
It's so good!! If you don't check it out from the library (cause it's
free that way, though you do have to wait longer) you're MISSING OUT!!
Link to the site for the books: <http://warriorcats.com/

Yes it is! It's SOOO exciting!! Very intense! NOT for the faint at heart! The first book is called: Warriors: Into the Wild.

I hope you'll like them!

Y'know what's not for the faint of heart? Stories like The Case Of Lady Sannox and Horror Of The Heights by Conan Doyle. And no, they are not Sherlock Holmes stories, just scary short stories.

Well... my parents probably don't want me to read scary stories... And I like mysteries, but those could be too intense... Another great Mystery Thriller is the book Utopia. It's about the most high tech theme park in existence getting targeted by this group of criminals who start sabatoging the rides and killing people and it's VERY intense!

i cheek out the warriors series at a local library today. i've been reading for half an hour, and so far the first few chapters have been good. I read it after finishing a few other books i just got today.
I think i read too fast :P

Well as long as you enjoy them! They get more exciting after the third book in each of the four series usually, but as it is THEY ARE AWESOME!! Lol... sometimes I feel like I read those books too fast too! I finished a 425-ish page warrior book in less than 3 days recently... and I wish I hadn't... but it was still good!

Nope. I did some modding once, back in Beta 1.2 version. I made blue blocks that make you bounce and orange ones that make you run fast. Then the Portal 2 preview video came out. :P

What email client are you using? It looks like you're at Virginia Tech, so probably SquirrelMail or something custom like that.

Anyway, you should be able to bring up some sort of preferences dialog.

Do you have a Goofans account, by the way?

You could set up a simple PHP form to send emails from whatever name and address you want. I know some people who have played the Wii game Endless Ocean, and am planning to give them a series of cryptic emails from "404 ERROR Sender Not Found". >:-)

Wait, what program?

I was thinking of a script along the lines of this:
<?php mail("Albin...@gmail.com","Hi!","This is a simple message.","From:MOM...@vt.edu") ?>

When you view the page, it sends an email to me from "MOM...@vt.edu". There's no way of me knowing that it wasn't from that address, since the domain is right, and that's the only part they can check.

I wrote up a simple JavaScript client to fill in the fields for me, I'll post my code if you want.

DAT EPIC. PLZ POST CODE. :D

I was talking about the program "el Character Assassinator" on the bottom of this page: http://www.kylegabler.com/oldsite/contents/engineering/index.html

His "The Vine" protocol is a cool idea too.

Okay, that is very cool. I should try that at some point. It uses Telnet?

Anyway, here's my code.

There are a few files in this zip, nothing too complex. I was working on the CSS last night and it's still a work in progress, but at least it's not a blank white background.

A word of caution: GMail can figure out the domain it was sent from, and will say something like "From: MOM4Evr (what...@whatever.com) via vt.edu" in the message. I don't know any other clients that can do that, or any way to get around it without doing what Kyle did.

I've made some small mods, but never released any. The first thing you'll want to do is go to "Tools" in Steam and download the Portal 2 Authoring Tools.

But be warned: Portal 2 maps, unlike World of Goo maps, are more like the source code to a program than a file the program uses. You can really do ANYTHING in it. Want a wall to fall down when you place a portal near it? Build a trigger_portal_detector, make the wall a func_physbox with Solid BSP parented to the world, and wire the trigger to the physbox's ClearParent input. I haven't made many maps, but I've pretty much memorized the entity lists and rules. : )

They say that they're going to come out with a simplified level editor at some point, but that "some point" is in Valve time.

I'm working on it again, it's almost ready. I arranged the semifamous Canon in D Major* (by Pachelbel) for our orchestra, it's fairly simple to play and sounds great.

So far, the instruments I'm using in the arrangement are violin, viola, cello, piano, trumpet, bassoon, percussion, and as many vocalists as possible (a few divisis).

Did I leave out anyone who's currently active on the site, or include anyone who's not?

(Also, nothinggoo, if you're on this list, your part is probably the hardest. I put in some measures of rest before the hardest part, and you should drop the octave if you ever have to.)
