Hui, love this site and use it every time I rent from Redbox, which is about once a month.  You are a hero!

I also watch a lot of movies on HBO, but have not found a site like yours for HBO.  Would it be okay if I wrote a site for HBO movies, and possibly other movie services?

I am already proficient at JavaScript and C#, and learning Java at work, but am trying to beef up my skills in HTML5, CSS3 and AngularJS.  What did you write your site in?  It appears Django / Python, or at least that is what I see in the Copyright field.

Hi,

I am glad to know you find this website useful. It is a good idea to build a website for HBO too. This website was built with Django. I used Django create static HTML files and hosted them on web server without database backend attached. So, if you know there are a C# template library and database library, you can just create and host static HTML files too.

Hui,

Forgot to say, but I did a similar website for a 3-day hackathon at work back in 2015, I believe.  I pulled movies from HBO.com and ratings from IMDB.  I used AngularJS 1.x and jQuery grid.  I did not win -- there was tough competition.  My HBO subscription ran out shortly afterwards so I have not used it since.

Seems like GoodMovieBox.com data has not been updated in awhile, but I appreciate using it while it was live.

Thanks, Brian

Brian,

Redbox.com used to have a url with all movie and a JSON file with all movie later. Then, it is changed to  load the movie list dynamically, which needs web scraping with a browser to get data. Google search result is changed too, which does not have IMDB score any more. All these changes make it difficult to keep updating movie with review scores.

Thanks,
Hui
