Hi all,
The final FSMA produce rule is finished and is set to be released tomorrow. As I have said many times on these list-servs and in person; whether you are a current, beginning or prospective farmer you need to know about FSMA and the produce rule. The future of local food systems and sustainable agriculture will be impacted in significant ways by these rules.
The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, has been a National leader in advocating for a scale and risk appropriate FSMA produce rule and has published a preview blog post.

If you are a farmer make sure you read it and if you work with farmers please make sure you share it with those you work with and stay tuned for more information. Over the coming weeks, months and years there will be a lot more information and analysis as well as forthcoming trainings about compliance with FSMA.
Sincerely,
Wes King
