Improving governance is the only solution to Pakistan's woes. Once we have good governance at all levels of the State, all the issues highlighted in the Pakistan 2014 Human Rights Report will be resolved. Lets focus on the key rather than the lock. I fully agree with the observation made in the report that the 'lack of government accountability remained a problem, and abuses often went unpunished, fostering a culture of impunity. Authorities seldom punished government officials for human rights violations.'

Good Governance Forum, the first and only interactive think tank on governance in Pakistan, is in the process of forming the national Civil Society Alliance (CSA) of the civil society organizations in Pakistan to work jointly for bringing good governance to Pakistan. That's what is needed to be done. We have had civil and military regimes in the country but the level of governance always remained dismal. It's high time the civil society stood up and forcefully demanded good governance in the country. We expect our friends and supporters across the globe to back up our mission before it's too late.
