Each year, Ben and I attend the performance of "Christmas Time" at the Reagle Players in Waltham. The theater group has been performing this show annually for 41years.
This year we will be going to the Sunday, December 14th 2pm show and would love to have others join us. That means leaving the church about 1pm. The show is 2 hours long. We can carpool.
Senior tickets range from $60-$90 each. We choose tickets that are $60, because we've found that we can see the show from any seat in the auditorium. This is less than half the cost of a show in Boston and far less than the NY City Rockettes show. During the performance, wheelchairs and walkers are tagged and stored at the rear of the auditorium.
The show is spectacular and rivals the NY City Radio City Music Hall show including the "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" complete with authentic costumes! Their duplication of the soldiers marching steps is flawless, and everyone holds their breath while the soldiers hold each other up and then collapsing to the floor.
There's amazing singing and dancing and adorable children's performances. Mid show, Santa arrives, and all the children from the audience line up on stage for a Jingle Bells sing- a - long. Multiple generation families attend each year. Many assisted living places bus in their residents.
The finale is the story of the nativity and is breathtaking. In this day and age, it's rare to see anything that is religious in nature.
If you are interested in joining us with tickets priced at $60 each, please let me know by November 23 and since every performance is sold out. No refunds.
