Hey Fellas,

A friend sent me this attachment for daily readings in lent to proceed toward the resurrection.  I think it would be nice if we all added this to our daily reading through Lent!  Again remember, the resurrection is not just a day but a journey!  There is no Easter with out Good Friday and there is no Good Friday with out the life of Jesus and so on... so we need to start from today to live with Christ to get us to that great and awesome day of our salvation!!!

I'm sorry again that I have not been as around lately.  Trust me, you are all in my prayers and hopefully the chaos of this time will end soon.  Please keep me in your prayers and even more so pray for each other that we may all grow closer to our maker.

I'll see you ALL on Friday night!

I love you all!

Hugs and kisses (hahahahahhaha)

JJ

Dear group,

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Holy Lent, I have attached the readings of each day so that we may all benefit from this holy period.

"The fast of Lent has no advantage to us unless it brings about our spiritual renewal. It is necessary while fasting to change our whole life and practice virute. Turning away from all wickedness means keeping our tongue in check, restraining our anger, avoiding all gossip, lying and swearing. To abstain from these things - herein is the true value of the fast. Accept the fast as an experienced educator by whom the Church teaches us piety. " (St. John Chrysostom)
