Some basic rules: 1. Recipes and discussion of them is on-topic. Everything else is off-topic. Brief announcements are okay, if you aren't selling anything. I reserve the right to delete off-topic posts as I see fit. 2. No flames. We can disagree without being rude or abusive. No one has to agree with anyone else. Just be polite about it. 3. Don't violate copyrights. I reserve the right to delete such material. 4. Right now, this group is open and un-moderated. I will change that if we have problems. I would rather not.
There are four ways you can read this group: 1. No e-mail. This means you receive nothing in your in-box. You have to read using your browser. 2. Abridged digest. You get a *summary* of messages. 3. Digest. Daily or every 25 messages (whichever comes first), you receive a digest containing all the messages posted since the last digest. 4. e-mail. Every post is forwarded to your inbox. While this group is quiet, this is a good option. However, if traffic picks up as I hope, then this would mean you get lots of email.
