Hello. Whave spoken with a number of parents/wrestlers who have expressed an interest in having the boys attend a wrestling camp as a group this Summer. One of the suggested camps is held at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.   Jonny has attended this camp previously (as did his older brother several years ago) and we found it to be a good, local option for the boys.  The boys may either select to attend one of the three Technique Camp Sessions or may opt to attend the Team Camp.

I have included the link below which will provide more information about the camp dates, details, etc.  Please let me know if you think your son may be interested in attending the camp and, if so, which Session(s) he is available.  The goal would be to register and go together as a team.

Thank you.

Hello EVERYONE! I am very excited about the enthusiasm for off-season camps this summer.  Looks like the Naval Academy Wrestling Technique Camp, Session 3 (July 7-11) is a go.  Parents, please encourage your sons to participate in this session  as we already have 7 members of the team attending.  This would be a great opportunity for the boys to build their relationships with each other and give them more comfort on the mat.   Let's try our best to get 15 members of #Gwrestling out there. Our improvement as a team happens now.  Thanks so much Mrs. Biagini for spearheading this effort.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  GO EAGLES!

Note: If there are incoming freshman (younger brothers) that will be wrestling, they should look to attend the camp as well.  That could boost the numbers.

Thanks Everyone,

Coach.

Milton, I have not yet discussed this with Matt but do you know if the current roster of boys' attending will be commuting or staying on the Yard?  Thanks, Michaela

I believe all the boys who plan to attend will be boarding. Given my past experiences with this camp, the boys are kept so busy during the day the majority of the bonding occurs during their free time in the evenings. Also, once.we get the final group of registered boys, we can plan a group arrival and check-in time so they can room with their Gonzaga teammates.
