Today, there are various referencing (citation) styles that are in use. Different academic disciplines have differing priorities of what is important for the subsequent reader of an academic paper; different colleges, universities and publishers have differing rules about the citation of sources and referencing styles. For the purpose of this guide, APA style which is used mainly in the social sciences in various institutions is briefly discussed. The discussion is based on the APA manual, 6th edition, second printing resources by Angeli, et al. (2010). A few other referencing styles, namely Harvard, MLA, and Chicago/ Turabian are also briefly described.
Note: The KR400/KR500 manuals are one of the first manuals I scanned. I did this about 4 years ago because at that time, there were no other copies available on the net. I bought these rotators in 1984 for my KLM OSCAR antennas -- still have them, they still work fine. As you notice, the manuals are a little worse for the wear -- one I burned with a soldering iron (I have burned a lot of things with a soldering iron). I notice that there are several copies of these manuals available now -- so if you want a cleaner copy -- keep on searching -- I may post them here too someday, but these are the 'original' scans I did for one usenet request years ago. For ICOM/KENWOOD/YEASU manuals, check out www.w4rp.com/manuals
I muddled through by manually controlling the antenna, sometimes needing to search for the balloon video downlink. It was tricky, but we managed to get good video through probably about half of the flight.
