Hi everyone. I announced this program a few weeks ago via GOMAEEN but made a change to the website. Check it out and give me a call if you have questions.

B-WET Shifting Baselines Project invites Mississippi and Alabama science teachers (grades 6-12) to the 2012 Shifting Baselines Institute to be held at the Gulf Coast Research Lab in Ocean Springs:
Session 1: June 4-5 (for teachers new to the program)
Session 2: June 11-13 (for participants who have completed session 1)
Learn to teach watershed concepts, science content and stewardship via the meaningful watershed educational experience (including maps, aerial photographs, internet resources, water sampling, GPS).
Teachers who complete session two will 1) Implement the MWEE at their schools, 2) Lead a one-day field trip of 25 students, and 3) Bring 5 students to the spring Stewardship Summit.
